30,000 people took to the streets on November 10 to prostest tuition hikes, including McGill students, professors, and MUNACA members. Over 200,000 students in Quebec declared they were going on strike, including the Arts Undergraduate Society at McGill. The protest ended in front of Jean Charest’s office across from Roddick gates.

People gathered outside James Administration later were broken up by riot police, who used tear gas, pepper spray, and physical violence. McGill security assaulted students who were occupying the building itself.
