I’d like to think I was shocked that you printed Max Silverman’s overly facetious letter (Commentary, October 1, page 8) and ridiculous list of titles in this past issue. Does his “digestive disorder” also prevent him from stomaching sarcasm-less discourse? Especially juxtaposed next to Joan Moses’ commentary about Mendelson’s use (I won’t go as far as to say misuse) of McGill’s policy on arassment, Silverman’s piece comes off even more foolish. You’re making a mockery of yourself, Daily.
