Thursday was a day of action for indigenous rights, whose main event was a peaceful march of around 1,000 people through the hear of downtown Toronto.
Drumming before Thursday’s march for native rights.
Protesters took the government to task for their record on aboriginal issues.
The protest stayed peaceful, but police had a heavy presence.
As did their horses…
…and helicopters.
An eagle staff marked the front of the march.
A large banner reading ‘Native Land Rights Now’ formed a centrepiece of the march.
